My Favorite Pregnancy and Postpartum Books and Resources

Pregnancy and postpartum are initiations ~ thresholds that ask us to soften, to open, and to root deeply into our inner knowing. Along the way, I found myself reaching for books and resources that honored birth not just as a medical event, but as a sacred, transformative rite of passage.

These are the ones I return to again and again.

Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin
A foundational text for anyone seeking empowered, physiological birth. Ina May weaves together real birth stories with practical wisdom, reminding us that birth can be safe, instinctual, and even ecstatic.
