Your Attitude is Not the Dream-Killer, Isolation is

IMG_3616.JPG

I recently came across this TED talk and completely agreed: ISOLATION is the dream-killer, not your attitude.

There's only so much we can do or so far we can go when we're doing it all by ourselves…

In this talk, Barbara Sher explains how humans are wired to be problem-solvers, and soon as we get together with a group of people (especially a group we don't know beforehand) to share our dreams and obstacles, everyone else in the room will start brainstorming and offering resources on how to make it happen.

I just arrived  back from co-leading an incredible group of kind and brilliant women in San Francisco for our Sacred Business Immersion this weekend...

In one of our workshops we created one of these "success" groups that Barbara talks about.  I had never led something like this before, so didn't know what would happen - but immediately the miracles started occuring... women walked away with connections for where to lead retreats, collaborations for events they wished to lead, leads on homes in new states to live, a full itinerary for their next trip, a cafe to offer tarot sessions, and the list goes on...

Collaborations were made, resources were shared... it was magic to see what happened.

A few more insights that are alive in my heart after this weekend:

✨Creating beauty is a valid contribution in the world

✨Your desires are sacred, and non-attachment is equally important

✨Self-healing // filling your own cup prepares you for your greatest contribution

✨Rest is radical in our fast-paced world

✨Getting ALL of you on board to move ahead with a creative project is not only wise but necessary

✨The ways we self-destruct or treat our own bodies poorly - is a direct reflection of what’s happening to Mother Earth. When we shift that relationship, our greater collective relationship with Her can also heal.

We laughed, shed tears, opened to receive messages to the heart of our work.

We used tools for emotional healing, vision-mapped the year ahead, and shared resources to mastermind each other’s dreams.

I'm arriving home feeling incredibly full and grateful <3

At the moment I don't have more of these special events on the calendar, however we have a brand new podcast episode for you and I'm back to teaching my regular weekly yoga classes:

058 | The Art of Allowing & Priestess Rising with Marin Bach-Antonson

M5 copy.jpg

SUBSCRIBE ON ITUNES

It is a great honor to introduce you today to a personal guide and mentor of mine, Marin Bach-Antonson.

For the last year I have been participating in a 13 gateway Priestess Initiation Program led by Marin. It has been a truly transformational experience to embody principles of the sacred feminine in every area of my life.

In this conversation, Marin shares about the role of the Priestess, the rise of the feminine in our collective consciousness and one of the most simple and profoundly life-changing practices we can bring into our life right here and right now.

"When you allow those feelings to be exactly as they are, then you have access to the feelings. You are not pushing the feelings down...you aren't trying to make them different,  yoga them away, journal them out, or juice fast them into dissolving. You're just being with them because you are allowing them. The only way out is through. It's the feeling of our feelings that ultimately gets us to the other side of them."
M39.jpg

In this episode we discussed:

  • How Marin found herself on the Priestess path
  • The 4 stages of feminine awakening
  • Allowing: why it's the highest expression of the divine feminine
  • A key secret to manifestation
  • Marin's personal practice for manifesting abundance
  • The archetype of the Priestess and how it is showing up in the collective
  • Marin's experience with Mary Magdalene
  • How to connect to your Dharma

Stay in touch with Marin:

The Secret to Finding a Four-Leaf Clover (and Manifesting Other Desires...)

I remember growing up and feeling envious of how my mom had a way with finding four leaf clovers.

I sometimes spent hours in a patch of grass looking for those four leaves, perfectly bound together.  I would immediately grasp my fingers around anything that looked close. But I didn't find one.

It wasn't until one day I met a British man in India who told me the secret.

"The secret is you have to believe it's there waiting for you..."

He handed my friend a four leaf clover, then crouched down again and moments later stood up with another one for me.

I later thought, "Isn't that the secret to life, and really anything we want to manifest?"  We have to believe with our whole heart that it is possible.

We have to believe the universe is on our side, even conspiring in our favor to help us manifest what we want and need...

But months passed and I still didn't find one.

"I believe!" I told myself, but I continued to be disappointed.

Then finally, I released the idea that I ever needed to find one.

I found myself at the headwaters of Mt. Shasta a few weeks later sitting in a patch of grass.  I looked down, and there it was.

There was my first four-leaf clover waiting for me.

It was that moment I realized I needed to release all attachments to the outcome in order to manifest my desires.

I've learned this is an essential part of manifestation.

When I believe, trust, and let go, I am met with exactly what I need.

Again and again, I've seen this play out in my life.

I live for moments like finding that first four-leaf clover.  It is in these moments of pure synchronicity that I feel most connected.

That's when I feel like there is a higher power...something greater at work that is guiding me and protecting me.

That is when I know I can offer up my fears, my need to control, and trust in the universe.

This is why I chose Synchronicity as the title of my book. The book tells the stories of the chain of events I experienced in India that linked together in an almost too perfect way.

And it was those synchronicities that brought a deeper meaning to my life.

I've spent the last few weeks revising my final manuscript to prepare for publishing.  I have some really exciting news to share (in about two weeks) and I can't wait to give you a chance to be one of the first people to get your hands on a copy so that you can experience this magic for yourself...

With love,
Meredith

The key to manifesting your dreams...

meredith rom-vision-welcome-manifesting-dreams

Today, I wanted to tell you a story.

Four years ago I felt alone and lost.

I arrived back in the US after 6 months traveling in India.  My health had taken a toll through my travels.  I was much heavier than I am now, my hormones were imbalanced and I was going through a difficult breakup.  Overall, I felt uncomfortable in my body.  I then found myself using food and sugar to suppress my emotions and loneliness.

I arrived back to no community, no boyfriend, and no job.

I didn't know where to turn. I was applying for jobs I didn't want, and began asking what is the point of all of this?

While I was in India, I had experienced the community, the love, and the synchronicity that made me feel alive, but back in the states I didn't know what to do with myself.

I would turn to my meditation practice, but it felt boring and rigid.

Although I could watch my thoughts, I didn't know how to change them.  Meditation felt endless and unsustainable.  I developed a strong resistance to it and stopped altogether.

Meanwhile, I had been trained as a yoga teacher, but was afraid to share my voice and speak in front of a group.  I found a job I didn't like instead, and was spending hours a day at the computer, was barely making ends meet financially, and had to turn to family for financial support.

Luckily I immersed myself in my yoga practice, and learned about the law of attraction - what you think, becomes.

I quickly changed my thoughts and started using affirmations and began catching myself when I thought negatively..  I began to imagine myself living a new life full of peace, joy, and fulfillment during my meditations.  My meditation practice evolved into something new and enjoyable.

I meditated for the love of it, knowing I was planting seeds to create a new reality.

After I began this new kind of meditation, I met a man and a few weeks later, I was falling in love.

Synchronicity and magical experiences began to permeate my life.

I was given the opportunity to teach my first yoga class, and I began sharing my voice and facing my fears.  Doors were opening for me.  I was saying yes.  I changed my diet, my health improved and I began attracting the life I always wanted to live.

I was feeling lighter, more joyful, and in love.

The intentions I set, that at the time I had no idea could become possible, suddenly are becoming true.

I am now living my dream career and built a full coaching practice.  I healed my relationship to money and to food, I have a loving, healthy relationship and I am traveling, giving talks and teaching yoga to large groups.

I am fully living my passions.  I am doing exactly what I thought was impossible just a few years ago.

Since then, I have been refining a 40-Day Vision meditation practice that I now share in my program, Vision.

But Vision is more than just about meditation.  I knew I couldn't sit with my eyes closed to make all the changes I wanted in my life to happen... I had to actually step up and face my fears.

The key was integrating the knowledge and wisdom from the ancient yogic teachings with a fully engaged life of being in the world.

One step at a time, I faced my fears, devoted myself to my dreams and was met with beauty and magic in my life.

My vision now is to join together women from around the world ready to show up for themselves, tap into source energy and find love within.

I am calling together a global network of women showing up in daily devotion and sacred practice to shift their thoughts, manifest their desires, and live their visions.

I have joined my knowledge of spirituality and manifestation as a yoga and meditation teacher with the accountability, support, and grounded action tools I have learned as a coach and facilitator.

The key to manifesting is to integrate the spiritual tools of meditation and manifestation WITH grounded actions to face your fears and achieve your goals.

But it's not always that simple.  It takes courage, daily action, self-love, devotion and a community of support to create real, lasting change in your life.

That's why I created Vision.

This 8-week online course for women begins on Wednesday, February 3, with intimate group coaching calls, an online forum, and a members area with weekly videos, audio discourses and handouts.

We begin 40 days of daily devotion and meditation on February 15, ending on the Spring Equinox, March 20, 2016.  We will be connecting to our body's wisdom, manifesting our desires and living our visions.

I believe you have what it takes to overcome the biggest challenge you are facing in your life.  I believe you can manifest real, lasting change to feel fulfilled in your career, relationships, and connection to spirit.

I invite you to watch the launch video and learn more about Vision right here.

Now, I would love to hear your Vision...what is the life you have always imagined for yourself?  What excites you?  What scares you?  I'd love to hear in the comments below.

With love, Meredith

Where the magic happens...

women signing-courage-self love-meredithrom

Do you ever miss staying up late at night talking with your friends at sleepovers when you were younger? I remember when one of my clients told me about her dream to have close girlfriends again.  She missed the connection she had in her relationships to other women when she was younger.  As she grew up, and had a child of her own, she saw it was getting harder and harder to find the time for those kinds of friendship and connection.

This client was doing amazing work to make changes in her life, in her relationship to food, in growing her business and in taking better care of herself.

She saw that often she would turn to food for comfort was when she felt a loss of connection and friendship, so she was ready to cultivate more women friends in her life.

She was taking time out of her day to get really clear on what she wanted and needed.  Together, we made a plan, and I gave her an assignment to start a conversation with a new woman at the gym, and reach out to an old friend who recently moved to her area.

The next time we talked, I asked, "So how did it go for you?"

She replied, "Meredith, you aren't going to believe what happened.  I swear, this manifestation stuff really works.  So, you know how I was telling you about how I wanted to be closer to women like I was when I was younger?  Having slumber parties and girl time?"

"Yes..."

"Well, just this week on Monday night, all three of my clients cancelled their appointments.  I suddenly had an open schedule.  My son was staying with his father for the night, and I thought, 'I'll just have an evening to myself...'  Then out of no where, a friend I haven't talked to in years called me up and said, 'My husband's out of town, and I treated myself to a night at a beautiful lodge in Marin.  Would you like to join me here?'"

"Amazing!  So did you?"

"Yes! and suddenly I was swimming in a gorgeous pool, my friend was treating me to dinner, and we stayed up late slumber-party style holding hands in bed sharing our dreams and desires.  It was EXACTLY what I wanted!"

We both laughed and laughed at the amazement of what happened, but deep down, I wasn't surprised.

Ask, "What does my heart want, above all else?"  Then begin loving yourself and watch the fears, self-doubt and negative beliefs clear away.

The magic happens where courage and self-love intersect.

She had taken the time to connect to what she really wanted, what that would feel like, she was loving herself first and clearing away her fears and suddenly, her desires were showing up on her doorstep.

If you're ready to figure out what YOU want, I invite you to join my #LiveYourVision free training that begins today!

How I found my ideal job, relationship and home in less than 3 months

A few weeks ago I finished leading my first online group coaching program for women.  It was six months long of insightful connection and sisterhood.  What I gained most from it though, was the confidence to know I could turn my dreams into reality.    I remember writing my intentions in January earlier this year, "I am breaking through my blocks and fears to create an amazing 6 month group program for women.  I am strong, confident and courageous.  I am taking steps closer to my vision everyday."

I read these words out loud to myself everyday for 40 days after my meditation, and within that timespan I wrote the curriculum, created the content, and implemented a plan to market it.

It included 12 phone calls, each with its own topic and handouts on what I felt called to speak about most.  I included everything from Brene Brown to green smoothies, the 5 love languages, creating abundance, and my personal favorite, a 40-day spiritual practice for manifestation.

When I think back on my life just three years ago, I see how far I have really come...  I arrived back to the states after 6 months of traveling in India totally lost.  I was staying as a guest at friend's houses without a place to live, without a job, without a community  and without a great love in my life.  On top of that, I had gained weight while I was traveling, felt heavy and lethargic, and was totally addicted to sugar.  However, meditation was my one priority in my life. Those times of stillness and silence pulled me through.

In my meditation, I realized how fearful my thoughts really were and I decided to consciously change them.  I chose a set of very simple positive and peaceful words to replace my fearful thoughts, and repeated them in my mind every time fearful thoughts arose.

Intuitively, I knew my thoughts had created my reality, and I needed to change my thoughts to change my life.

I eventually found a small cabin to sublet for 3 months behind a home in Berkeley, and spent days in solitude writing out my dreams.  I wrote of teaching yoga, of living in a house with other meditators, of falling in love, of clearing up my skin, losing the weight I had gained traveling and of earning enough money to fully sustain myself.

I didn't know how it would happen, but I stayed true to my vision, and I fully believed it was possible.

Little by little, I found the resources to improve my health and my skin, a friend I had known a year before moved back into town and invited me to start a community house based around Vipassana meditation, I faced my fears of teaching yoga, I lost the excess weight, earned the money I needed to pay all my bills, and on top of all that, I fell in love.

Since then I have been a dedicated believer of the law of attraction and manifestation because I experienced it firsthand.

Through meditation, I shifted my thoughts, my beliefs, and I manifested what I wanted and needed most in my life.

Now, I'm excited to share the teachings I have learned over the last 3 years in my free video training, "6 Steps for Manifestation."    I share more about my personal story and how I began to shift my thoughts, as well as the 6 steps I use today to manifest my desires.

Are you ready to shift your reality?  If so, I invite you to join me in this free video training.  Click play below.

What does yoga have to do with a good parking spot?

magic-vision-yoga

Last week I went to a networking event near the financial district of San Francisco.  If any of you have tried to find parking in San Francisco - you know it's not always easy.  My boyfriend and I found a spot 4 long blocks away from the bar where the event was being held, but it was getting cold, and there was a huge hill between where we were and where we were going.  I turned to him and said, "We're getting a better parking spot."

I closed my eyes and asked the universe to provide us with a parking spot on the right side of the road right next to the bar, and sure enough, we found one, right in front of the bar.  I thanked my angels, and whoever else grants the divine parking spot gifts, and went into the event.

While I was there, I met a girl who was telling me about how she didn't like her current job.  Instead of hearing more about what she didn't like, I asked, "What does your ideal job look like?"

She rolled her eyes and replied, "Anything! Any job where I can go into work and have my own desk and a stable salary would be better than what I have now."

I could just hear Marie Forleo in my head saying, "Three years in the future is going to come around whether you want it to or not, so why not consciously design it?  Take a look at your life and ask, are you living by design or by default?"

Having a vision helps you know where you are going and what to ask for.  If you don't think and feel what it is you need, the universe won't know how to bring it to you.

I asked her, "Do you know anything about manifestation?  About changing your thoughts to think positively and visualize what you really want and need in your life?"

At first she looked confused and said, "No, not really."  But then she paused and said, "Unless you mean, like what I do when I am looking for a good parking spot... I used to only look for parking spots three blocks away from where I was going, then I finally realized, how will I ever get the parking spot I really want unless I show up to look for it?  That's when I started getting good parking spots."

I said, "That's EXACTLY what I"m talking about!"  I laughed and pointed outside and said, "Look that's my car, right outside the bar!"

She laughed and said, "That's my car, right in front of yours!"

In busy San Francisco, we managed to get the best parking spots exactly where we needed to be.

So often we avoid asking the universe for what we really want because we are afraid of rejection or disappointment.  But if you don't bother ASKING or GOING FOR IT then you never even give yourself or the universe the chance to make it happen!

So what does yoga have to do with a good parking spot?

Yoga clears away our thoughts, brings us into clarity about our intention, holds the space for us to ask for what we really want and opens us up to receive it.  Tweet it

I mean, how do you think I found all these four leaf clovers?

So I'd love to know, where in YOUR life are you living by default?  What would it look like for you to consciously design your life the way you want it?

In order to get where we want to be in life, we need to get clear on what we want.  What is it you want?  What's holding you back from going for it?  I'd love to hear your thoughts below in the comments!

xoxo Meredith

How I made a CHOICE and found my calling

vision-magic-clarity

When I started college I had no idea what I wanted to devote my entire life to.  I knew I was passionate, artistic, ambitious and organized, but I didn't know what career to choose.

It was actually pretty daunting to have lived so long without very much choice and then be expected to make the biggest decision that would determine the course of my life at age 18. It felt crazy for me to choose a major just because I had reached that age and the time had come for me to choose.

So I started asking older and wiser people for advice about what they majored in for college and how that played out in their life.

The advice I received again and again was, "Choose based on what you love to do.  The rest will figure itself out."  Many people shared with me that what they chose to study when they were young didn't determine the rest of their life. Many also shared they wished they had chose what they loved rather than choosing out of other people's expectations for them.

I was relieved, because I had many talents and interests and simply needed more time to try them all.  I wanted to find what really felt right.  I didn't just want to prepare myself for a job, I wanted to find my calling.

Marianne Williamson says, "A job is an exchange of energy in which you do a material task and someone provides money in exchange.  A calling, however, is an organic field of energy that emerges from the deepest aspects of who you are.  It is the fulfillment of what God has created you to be and do.

You have a calling simply because you are alive.

You are on this earth with divine purpose: to rise to your highest creative possibility, expressing all that you are to make the universe a more beautiful place."

I felt this from a young age, that I had a calling and needed to give myself the time and space to ask and discover what it was.

It wasn't until after college I really started asking the bigger questions and had a desire to move to San Francisco.  That intuitive move led me to meet one of my very first spiritual teachers (Amma), which led me to become a yoga teacher and travel to India.

Sometimes my ego would enter and say, "You need to just get a job.  You need to get real."  But I knew my soul was bigger than that.  I did try different jobs and internships but was always called back to ask about this "something bigger."

So how did I make a choice and find my calling?

I learned to:

1. Listen to my intuition.  With each job I tried, I noticed how it felt to be doing that job.  I asked, "Do I want to be doing this for the rest of my life?"

2. Give myself time and space to ask the bigger questions without a need for an answer.  I learned the answers only come when I am ready for them.

Even though I chose a major of what I loved to do (photography), my life continued to unfold.  My own discomfort in my body, exhaustion and anxiety led me to yoga and my own healing through nutrition led me to become a health coach.

Life unfolded the path for me and with commitment to asking the bigger questions, I found the fulfillment that only living your calling can fulfill.

So maybe you are just stepping out into life on your own and want to discover this deeper calling, or maybe you have been in a job for years and don't yet feel like you've found that larger sense of purpose...

Wherever you are in your career, remember: It's never too late to be who you were born to be. {tweet it}

If you feel called to create the space for yourself to ask these bigger life questions, join me tonight for"Purpose" the final call in a series of three teleseminars.

I'll be sharing more of my personal insights, stories and inspiration, as well as leading a guided writing exercise for each person to open to their unique purpose.  You can sign up here to get the access code and a recording of all three calls (Magic, Power and Purpose) in your inbox.

You'll also hear more details about my upcoming group program where I will be guiding a group of women to open to their purpose and create a new vision for their life.

How I started earning more money doing what I love (and other insights on manifestation)

prosperity-business clarity-entrepreneur

This past January I participated in a potent Vision meditation practice for 40 days. Every day I did this practice consisting of meditation, pranayama, chanting, mantra, mudra and quite literally, standing up to declare my heart's vision.

So what is a vision? And what was I saying everyday?

A vision is a written and spoken intention of your highest self.  It is written and spoken in the present tense to tune yourself to this highest power and start living the vision.

Here are some lines from my vision:

  • I am financially independent.  I am earning my living through doing what I love: teaching yoga and health coaching
  • I am participating in female mentorship and collaboration
  • I am fulfilling my soul's purpose
  • I am teaching others to rest, align, and love themselves first
  • I am breaking through my blocks and fears to have an amazing 6 month program for my clients
  • I am an inspiration to everyone around me
  • I am touching the lives of more people through my teachings

Every day I stood up and read my heart vision out loud.  It is a powerful practice to imagine your future self and then voice that intention in the present tense, every day, for 40 consecutive days.

So what happened after 40 days?

  • My yoga schedule shifted: I was asked to teach a new class with higher attendance
  • My other yoga classes started having higher attendance
  • I had a phone call with a female mentor I admire
  • New female mentors in my life appeared.  Wise older female yoga teachers became accessible to me where I live
  • I brought in $500 more per month through doing what I love: yoga and health coaching

And the biggest thing that happened on day 40 of the practice:

  • 15 people directly told me "You are an inspiration!" or "You inspire me!" These came through comments on facebook, messages, emails and text messages for a variety of different reasons all on the same day - the last day of my heart vision practice. One source was from this facebook Post

I couldn't believe it. 15 people from all directions telling me the exact words I used in my vision practice??

What I realized from all of this was that I was tuning my energy to become what I was saying.  Every morning when I said, "I am an inspiration to everyone around me," my actions were guided throughout the day.  I was subconsciously choosing to speak from a place of guidance and live from my heart.  I was listening to my intuition and the posts I made on social media were inspiring others.

When you consistently imagine your highest vision for yourself, you begin to believe it and become it. {tweet it}

Needless to say, I am a strong believer in holding a vision and having a consistent practice to manifest that vision.

It can create dramatic change in your life to shift your thoughts.  You will start receiving the guidance you need to reach your goals.   You will suddenly be in the right place at the right time.  You will find yourself sitting next to just the right person you need to meet.  Ideas will drop into your mind and you won't know where they came from!

So, if you are curious about manfestation, and want to hear more about my 40 day practice, be sure to sign up for my free teleseminar tomorrow night at 6 pm pacific for "Magic," the first class in a series of 3 free phone calls.  You'll learn my top 3 tips for a manifestation, 6 key steps for a manifestation practice, and a group guided meditation.

You'll also be the first to hear about my upcoming group program where I will be teaching a 40 day practice for an intimate group of women to support each other in manifesting their vision.

I'd love to hear your stories of manifestation in the comments below...  Have you ever changed your thoughts and saw them manifest in your daily life?  If so, share your story!

Why it's so important to have a VISION

vision-business-love

Last week on the spring equinox I invited my students to create a vision.  Everyone took time to write and consciously imagine their higher selves, their bigger world vision, and their purpose in that vision.

So why is it so important to have a vision?

For the last three years I have asked myself again and again, "Why am I here?" and "What is my larger life purpose?" I've come back to these questions over and over, and in doing so, have developed a business that supports both my life, but also my larger vision for the world.

Having a vision creates clarity and clarity creates power. {Tweet it}

Five years is going to roll around whether you want it to or not, so why not consciously design it?

Having a vision doesn't mean you have to stick to it.  It just means you know where you're going.

If you're setting out on a road trip to Florida, it's good to know your destination.  That doesn't mean you might not change course and have a pit stop in New York along the way, but at least you are headed in the general right direction.

The problem is, sometimes we don't exactly know what we want.  I remember the pain of not knowing my purpose, not having a vision for my life or the world.  I even remember sitting on the top of a mountain in Mexico on a vision quest at my yoga teacher training asking again and again, "Why am I here?" and still not knowing the answer.  It can be hard to not know and not have community or a guide to lead you on your path.

That's why I created a 6-month group program for women, Let go, Vision, Transform.  If you're feeling stuck, looking for a new direction, ready to discover your vision, face your fears and strengthen your voice, I invite you to apply to this elite online phone based program beginning at the end of May.

I am gathering a small group of women to support each other and open to the vision for their life and the world. I will lead a series of calls on health, self-care and nutrition so each woman can start feeling energized, naturally beautiful and confident to start owning her dreams.  We will then shift focus to finding fulfillment through career, personal finances, and relationships.  After focusing on ourselves, we will open to a larger vision for the world.  I will have two private coaching calls with each woman to develop her vision, and on the last 40 days I will teach a manifestation practice for each woman to turn that vision into reality.  This will be a very close bonding experience where each woman will be fully supported to grow by leaps and bounds.

Over the last three years I've done the work to discover my vision, face my fears, and strengthen my voice to make an impact.  Now I am hear to help you to make yours.

Love, Meredith

Why we should share our prayers

magic-prayers-meditation

At some point we stopped being able to express our needs to the world in order to portray a facade of perfection.

Why are we hiding what is most true and needed in our life?

I've realized what is most authentic to us in any given moment, is also the most vulnerable to share.  Maybe we are experiencing a heartbreak, looking for a job, a home, or experiencing loss or grief.  These are usually the hardest things to share with the world around us, because it shows vulnerability - that we are not capable of figuring it all out on our own.

But what if vulnerability is what granted us what we wanted in the world?

What if by sharing our truest prayers to our community they would manifest that much faster?

The universe needs us to express our needs in order to fulfill them.

When a baby is hungry and is not fed, the baby cries louder.  But when we are having trouble - at home, in our career, or in our relationships, we hide it to the world around us because we want to put up a facade that everything is going well.

At what point did it no longer become safe to share our needs?

My friend went on a vision quest last month without food or water for three days.  He told a group of people to pray with him, to eat and drink for him, and send him their support in their thoughts for those three days.  And what he found, was that he wasn't hungry, and it wasn't as hard as he thought to be without water.  He felt the presence of those people with him on his quest, and he says their prayers helped him through.

When we share our prayers, they are spread out into a larger consciousness to raise their vibration.  When people are praying with you and for you and your needs - it's like the baby crying louder to eat - it is more likely to be picked up in the universal consciousness.

This week at my Yoga Sangha group we each brought an object to place on an altar with a prayer to send out.  We all shared something true to us in this time in our life, and in doing so raised the consciousness on our prayers.

When it comes to prayers, and what is most true and vulnerable to us in our life, sometimes all we need is a friend to connect us to the right path, a next step, or simply hold us in their prayers as well, so the universe can hear loud and clear what it is we need.
