Holy Woman Womb Rituals
Returning to the Temple Within
There is a temple that lives within you. It is ancient. It is wise. It pulses with memory, mystery, and power. That temple is your womb.
For centuries, women were taught to hide, numb, or ignore this space. Menstruation was seen as shameful. Sexuality was not honored. And the body was treated as something to overcome rather than to revere.
But the tide is turning. More and more women are remembering that the womb is not a burden—it is a portal. A place of creation, intuition, and healing. It holds the codes of our lineage and the seeds of our future.
Here are some holy rituals to return you to the wisdom of your womb…
Reclaiming Your First Moon
If you are still menstruating, I invite you—during your next moon cycle—to reflect:
What would you have loved to receive when you had your very first menstruation?
Did you long to be honored?
To be given flowers?
To be sat down and truly seen?
To have someone explain what was happening to your body with reverence and love?
Now is the time to give that to yourself.
Create a small ritual. Buy yourself flowers. Light a candle and speak blessings over your womb. Lay on the earth and offer your blood to her. Or follow your own intuitive knowing of what you most needed—and still do.
This act of self-honoring begins to rewire the shame and silence so many of us inherited. It creates a new template: one of celebration, sovereignty, and softness.
Yoni Steaming: A Ceremony of Cleansing and Connection
One of the most nourishing practices you can offer your womb is a yoni steam. This ancient ritual supports physical healing, eases painful cycles, and reconnects you to the sacredness of your body.
How to Yoni Steam:
Boil water and pour it into a bowl or pot. Add a small handful of herbs (listed below). Set yourself up comfortably—perhaps on yoga blocks or a stool with an opening. Wear a skirt or wrap a towel around your waist. Stay 4–6 inches above the steam, and always test the temperature to make sure it’s not too hot.
Suggested herbs (choose what calls to you):
Rose petals – nourishing, heart-opening
Lavender – calming, gentle
White sage – cleansing
Mugwort – supports menstrual flow and intuition
Parsley – cleansing
Rosemary, peppermint, basil – stimulate and cleanse
Chamomile, calendula – gentle, nourishing
Dandelion – detoxifying
Even one herb is enough if that’s what you have. Let it be simple.
As you steam, breathe deeply. Meditate. Offer a prayer.
Womb Morning Check-In
Each morning, before you rise, take a quiet moment to place your hands on your womb. Feel her pulse. Ask:
“How are you feeling today?”
“What do you want me to know?”
“How can I honor you?”
Sometimes the answer is a whisper. Sometimes it’s a sensation. Sometimes it’s silence.
But even the listening is a return.
Rest: The Forgotten Ritual
In a world obsessed with doing, rest becomes a radical act of reclamation.
Give yourself permission to pause. Especially during your menstrual phase, but truly at any time your body asks. Let your energy ebb and flow like the moon. Let stillness be your medicine.
A Time to Bless Yourself
Allow these rituals turn “self-care” into devotion.
They are your return to the feminine mysteries.
They are a celebration of what it means to live in a female body.
To bleed. To feel. To rest. To create.
Let this be the beginning of your own sacred path home.
Let your womb be blessed. Let her guide your days. Let her become your temple again.
