Mysteries of Mary Magdalene, Southern France, and Sacred Water with Dakota Chanel
SUBSCRIBE ON ITUNES
For this week’s episode, I sat down with Dakota Chanel, a water priestess and ceremonialist, while she was in Southern France researching the book she is writing on the Cathar region and Mary Magdalene.
I’ve been following Dakota’s work since we first met in Kauai, and have been learning so much from her, even just from her little shares on instagram about Yeshua, Mary Magdalene, and the sacred churches, caves and springs that exist in the Languedoc region of France.
I visited a few sacred sites related to Mary Magdalene in Southern France last April, and Dakota affirmed an intuitive feeling I had in one of the basilicas I visited, thought to hold the bones of Mary Magdalene.
She also shares such a powerful story of her first awakening to Mary Magdalene (and remembering her sacred voice), during ceremony on Magdalene’s feast day with her mentor in Ashland, Oregon.
In this episode we discussed:
Water, its power and memory
Mermaids and mer-maidens - where did this name come from? We explore the etimology of the word mer, which means “sea” in French and “love” in ancient Egyptian
How Dakota was awakened to her connection with Mary Magdalene (this story is so powerful)
Where are Mary Magdalene’s bones and my experience inside the Basilica in Saint Maximin la Aainte Baume and the difference between the crypt here and another crypt in Northern France at Vézelay
Who were the three Mary’s that arrived on a boat in Southern France?
Who were Yeshua and Mary’s children?
The essence of Mary Magdalene’s ministry
The Albigensian Crusade that killed hundreds of thousands of Cathars in France
Why this happened, and what were they after?
