Ten Signs You Would Benefit from Womb Healing

In the work of womb healing, we tune in deeply to the womb space — that tender, powerful center that holds not just life, but memories, emotions, and beliefs. Many times, the womb carries the unspoken stories of our lineage, our personal experiences, and the cultural messages we’ve absorbed.

When we journey into this space, we uncover the memories or limiting beliefs that may be stored there. Through gentle, somatic processes like EFT Tapping, we can release the emotional charge or trauma tied to these difficult moments, rewrite the old narratives, and energetically imprint new, empowering beliefs into the womb. This work is profound, tender, and life-changing — and for many, it becomes the missing key to reclaiming their wholeness.

Here are seven signs you may benefit from womb healing:

1. You’re Holding Shame Around Sexuality or the Menstrual Cycle

Many of us carry silent shame around our natural, sacred bodies — especially when it comes to sexuality or our menstrual cycles.

I’ll never forget a client of mine once shared a story of how her father scolded her and called her dirty when the trash bin was blown over, exposing her used pads on the street in front of their house. That moment left an imprint for her: My womb is dirty. My body is shameful.

Others grew up under religious or societal programming that painted sex as sinful or wrong. These imprints can quietly shape our lives — leading to pain during sex, guilt around pleasure, or a deep sense of disconnect from our own sensuality. Womb healing helps clear these distortions and return us to the sacredness of our body’s wisdom.

2. You’re Ready to Clear Memories or Energetic Imprints of Sexual or Physical Abuse

Sometimes a client comes to me with a known experience of abuse — a wound carried heavily in the body and soul.

In these journeys, we don’t just revisit what happened; we uncover the belief that was formed in that painful moment: I don't matter. My voice doesn't matter. I have no choice. I am dirty. I am unworthy.

Through compassionate understanding, we shift these inner narratives. Often, we realize that the shame a survivor feels was never theirs to carry — it belongs to the perpetrator. In truth, almost every instance of abuse I have helped heal traced back to someone re-enacting their own unresolved trauma.

Sometimes in healing, a client feels the urge to send the perpetrator away forever — and sometimes, incredibly, a space opens to offer forgiveness and soul healing, freeing both parties. It is powerful beyond words when compassion, love for ourselves and others becomes the final chapter.

3. You’ve Had Sexual Encounters Where Boundaries Were Not Honored

Many wombs carry the imprint of encounters where full empowerment wasn’t present — where boundaries were not honored, or where consent turned into a quiet no that wasn’t spoken aloud.

I’ve seen this arise with clients and even within my own healing journey. There are moments where we said yes, but somewhere inside, a no arose — and we didn’t know how, or feel safe enough, to stop.

Healing is about compassionately tending to the moments we crossed our own boundaries as well as those with others, learning to trust ourselves again, and restoring our voice, our sovereignty, and our safety within.

4. You’re Holding Limiting Beliefs Around Self-Worth

As we walk the pathways of memory stored in the womb, we often uncover hidden beliefs about self-worth: I am not enough. I can’t have what I want. My needs are too much.

Through healing, these heavy beliefs begin to dissolve, allowing a new level of self-expression and confidence to emerge.

I’ve witnessed clients blossom into new versions of themselves — speaking on stages, leading meetings with newfound authority, claiming desires they once silenced. The womb, once burdened, becomes a wellspring of vibrant self-expression.

5. You’ve Had Medical Procedures Related to the Uterus or Cervix

Our wombs deserve to be honored — especially after invasive medical procedures.

Many women have gone through cervical procedures, biopsies, or surgeries without being invited to consciously prepare their womb space for what was to come.

Acknowledging these experiences — sending love, speaking gently to the body, releasing any trauma stored from the procedures — is an important part of restoring trust between you and your sacred center.

6. You Didn’t Have Your Dream Birth

Birth is a portal — and whether you gave birth naturally, through intervention, or didn’t experience the birth you dreamed of, your womb remembers.

In healing, we travel into those moments to lovingly release trauma, rewrite the story, and reweave empowerment into the memory. The shifts ripple outward — often transforming the mother’s relationship with her child and with herself.

7. You’re Holding Grief, Guilt or Regret Around Having Had an Abortion

Abortion is a deeply personal experience, and yet so many women carry the emotional weight of it alone. Even when the mind understands that the choice was necessary, empowered, or the best option at the time, the womb may still hold echoes of grief, guilt, or unresolved emotion.

In womb healing, we create space to honor the complexity of this experience — the relief, the sorrow, the uncertainty, the love. There is no right way to feel, and there is never judgment. Instead, we tend to the energetic imprint left behind, allowing the womb to release what it has been holding and to return to wholeness. Many women find that this healing brings profound peace, closure, and a deep sense of self-compassion and inner peace.

8. You’ve Experienced a Miscarriage

Miscarriage can leave an imprint as well — a grief that is often invisible to the world but felt intensely in the body and heart. For many women, the womb holds not only the memory of the loss but also unexpressed sorrow, lingering questions, or a quiet sense of “What did I do wrong?” even when the loss was never their fault.

Womb healing offers a sacred space to honor the soul of the little one who passed through, to acknowledge the love that was present, and to tend to the emotional or energetic residue that remains. Through this process, many women find a renewed sense of trust in their bodies, a softened relationship with their grief, and a deeper connection to their own inner wisdom.

9. You’re Trying to Get Pregnant

When a woman feels called to bring life through her womb, she steps into a powerful threshold — and yet, if fears, past wounds, or unprocessed shame live in that space, conception can feel elusive.

Healing the womb can address underlying fears about motherhood, clear blocks from past trauma, and release guilt or grief from previous abortions or miscarriages. It clears the pathway for fertility to blossom.

I’ve witnessed numerous women become pregnant after womb healing, whether that be naturally or with the support of modern medicine. These stories are beautiful, powerful, and deeply sovereign.

10. You Have Painful Menstrual Cycles

Painful or disruptive menstrual cycles often signal that the womb is holding tension, unmetabolized emotion, or unresolved experiences. Cramping, clotting, irregular cycles, or intense PMS can all be invitations to look deeper at what the body is trying to communicate. In womb healing, we listen to these messages with compassion rather than frustration, exploring the underlying energetic or emotional roots — whether that be inherited patterns, stress, trauma, or stored beliefs about womanhood. As the womb softens and old imprints are released, many women experience cycles that become more easeful, intuitive, and connected to their natural rhythm.

Womb healing invites you back into relationship with the deepest part of yourself — the place where intuition, creation, memory, and power live. Whether you are tending old wounds or preparing to step into a new chapter, this work offers a path toward clarity, embodiment, and emotional freedom.

If any of these signs resonated with you, consider it an invitation: your womb may be asking for your attention, your tenderness, and your care.
